"Kyoto dialect is peace dialect"
Kyoto dialect had been cultivated in the long history of Kyoto, and it has deep knowledge to avoid conflicts with others.
Kyotoite sometimes would talk Kyoto dialect containing two different meanings,
that is, they do not want to offend others by being direct but also they express their thoughts.
"Two meanings" do not just mean that Kyoto dialect has front and back side
or has real intention and official stance, but also mean there are some gradations between the two meaning.
Tone of voice and expression of talker may change the gradation subtly.
One of the functions of Kyoto dialect is to avoid make someone uncomfortable, however, it also avoids to make easy compromise.
We would say that Kyoto dialect is a language for longing peace.
Kyotoite had been using words properly depending on the situations. They know that they should say clearly in one case
and they should not in other case.
We started this concept of "Kyoto dialect is peace dialect" from knowledge for better life of Kyotoite.
Kyoto dialect would be helpful for stress-free life.
We believe it will not deteriorate relationship with others but at the same time, you will not bear pain of
uncomfortable agreement, either if you communicate with others in Kyoto dialect properly.
With that said, we hope our concept would be an opportunity for every one of you from both in/outside Japan will enjoy Kyoto dialect!
